[RESOLVED]Some other DHL nightmare thread Jan 24, 2018

   I'm distressing, only I just need to get my frustrations out of my arrangement.

   I ordered a OnePlus 5T a couple of days ago. It "apparently" shipped pretty fast from Poland to Copenhagen, information technology's destination, and yesterday I was expecting it to exist delivered equally information technology arrived at the sorting facility very early morning, but the tracker didn't update the entire day and by the end of the day the delivery date had changed to yesterday "by the terminate of the day" to "The Estimated Delivery Date is currently unavailable. Please try again later." I googled this and panicked and raged a fiddling over the corporeality of times this has happened to people in the past, feeling betrayed, ripped off and agape that my parcel was lost somewhere.

   Fast forward to this morn, and I call DHL. The woman on the phone explains to me that the phone is, in fact, not in Kingdom of denmark AT ALL. It wasn't on the container from Poland that information technology SHOULD accept shipped with. To this one might wonder: why the **** don't you practice anything most information technology immediately instead of waiting for me to phone call you lot! She told me she would brainstorm an investigation in Poland immediately, but that I certainly wouldn't get the phone today, much to my disappointment after having promised information technology delivered yesterday. She was pretty rude, didn't repent on behalf of her company'due south error, and now I'thousand left waiting for something that might have been lost or stolen in Poland. I payed a ******* premium in extra shipping fees to get "fast and secure delivery" in addition to the price of the telephone, which isn't expensive but it's heavy on my personal budget, and this is what I go. OnePlus doesn't want to refund the premium shipping costs, I've asked.

   FIRST UPDATE: Phone has not been located in Poland. DHL will call me every bit shortly as they accept news from Leipzig.

   SECOND UPDATE: Plainly my phone was accidentally sent to a facility in Mali, Westward Africa. Woopty doo. It should take been sent from Mali to my location. I don't know how long information technology'southward going to have. I expect to have more than news tomorrow. I have updated the tracker to reflect this.

   THIRD UPDATE: The packet has been processed in Bamako, Mali. I'm only going to update this every time I see the tracker has updated.

   4th UPDATE: The package has finally left Mali, on course towards Copenhagen I hope. With any luck information technology volition go far at the sorting facility early morning.

   FIFTH UPDATE: The bundle has at present arrived at a sort facility in Paris. I'one thousand a picayune surprised that they didn't send it directly to Copenhagen. I'grand not expecting to receive the package today.

   Sixth UPDATE: The adult female handling the case simply called me to explain that the DHL guys in Poland accidentally put my phone in the wrong container and was sent to Republic of mali. This doesn't explain why it was scanned in Leipzig and Kingdom of denmark and why it appears on the map in a tracking app where information technology seems to travelled FROM Denmark to Africa and dorsum to Europe. Very fishy.

   Seventh UPDATE: My telephone has been processed in Paris

   EIGHT UPDATE: Departed facility in Paris

   Ninth UPDATE: Package finally arrived in Kingdom of denmark this morning and is with the carrier for commitment onetime today "by the stop of the day"

   10th AND FINAL UPDATE: So, I finally got the telephone, and it's great. I actually like it. Everything seems to exist in order, the phone wasn't missing or annihilation, and the package didn't look similar it had been opened or tampered with, though information technology did expect a niggling dirty. I fifty-fifty got my money back for the shipping, which was a huge surprise to me actually, so I'1000 really happy almost that!

   So, my final words: Thank you to anybody who commented, helped me, showed sympathy and generally but agreed with the fact that this whole situation has been completely ridiculous. For anyone considering buying a OnePlus 5T through the official website, I hope y'all run into my thread, considering you need to go in with "realistic" expectations of how your parcel will exist treated by DHL lol. If you ask me information technology might even be easier to just buy it through your telephone visitor or some other retailer, unless you lot simply actually desire the phone for the cheapest price possible. However, unless you lot absolutely MUST have tracking (and tracking is a good thing in case messed upward things like this should happen) then get alee and purchase priority aircraft, but don't expect it to necessarily evidence up inside the 1-3 days promised, and don't exist afraid to complain and merits your money back if it doesn't. I await the package will show up on time in most cases, but I was very unlucky, and obviously I'm not the only one.

   So, I finally got the phone, and it'southward bang-up. I actually like it. Everything seems to be in order, the telephone wasn't missing or annihilation, and the bundle didn't look like it had been opened or tampered with, though it did look a little muddied. I even got my money dorsum for the shipping, which was a huge surprise to me really, and so I'm really happy well-nigh that!

   Do you take the phone? If they find the package is lost, exercise you call back it's worth information technology to ask OnePlus to send me one more? I really, really, really, actually want this phone, maybe even more than I would want a Pixel 2, which I tin can't even afford, simply I accept lost a lot of faith in their selection of carrier and I don't experience confident that they are actually capable of delivering a device to me. I take never, ever, in my entire life, had a package I've ordered get lost in the process, and with my first time with DHl, they lose it

   I'1000 considering canceling this gild and buying a Pixel ane from within my state, but I don't know if it's worth it.

   Also, what do you lot mean with "log a support telephone call" ? OnePlus doesn't have a telephone service as far as I'm aware.

   if this is the instance you volition accept your telephone, it will only be delivered late.

   yous have suggested you paid for fast delivery so my respond to yous was log a oneplus back up call if yous want to get this money back from them every bit the phone has non arrived within the the faster commitment timescale.

   Unfortunately I don't share your optimism, but I'chiliad waiting for their update on Leipzig so there is still a chance.

   I chatted with OnePlus back up and the person told me that he couldn't refund the shipping. I presume they're going to tell me the same the next time I ask, no affair how much I insist. Merely I am going to insist. Y'all say "log a support call", though, and they don't accept phone support.

    If so, open up a ticket with OnePlus support and PM me your support ticket number.
    I can escalate to OnePlus CS and meet if the logistics team can propose farther

    Edit: looking at the parcel log history, it appears that information technology did achieve DHL Copenhagen since its been scanned at that location.

To that I have to say, please read my OP again thoroughly: "OnePlus doesn't desire to refund the premium shipping costs, I've asked" - it'southward earlier the edit at the end of the OP. And further down, in response to Izzykasha, I write: "I chatted with OnePlus support and the person told me that he couldn't refund the shipping. I assume they're going to tell me the same the adjacent time I ask, no matter how much I insist. But I am going to insist." - I have not chatted with OnePlus since then, just I nevertheless feel that the extra money I payed for fast and secure shipping has gone to waste, and I will demand for that money to be refunded.

    Secondly, you quote my tracker which says that the bundle was scanned in Denmark, but once again, if you read my post carefully I say: "Fast forward to this morning, and I call DHL. The adult female on the phone explains to me that the telephone is, in fact, not in Kingdom of denmark AT ALL. It wasn't on the container from Poland that it SHOULD have shipped with. " - and so no, information technology tin't have been scanned in Kingdom of denmark if what the adult female says is true. I realise that it's odd, and I don't understand how something similar this can happen. But I now take further evidence to back up this fact, every bit my tracker finally updated today at 15:28:

    The phone arrived in ******* Mali. I know, right?! How do you botch something that badly?! And when I chosen DHL again at 16:xxx, an 60 minutes the tracker was updated, the guy didn't tell me this (I was out walking) and just told me to await for the woman in accuse of my case to contact me tomorrow. Just how lazy tin can you be???

    Frustrations aside, if I'm to believe this footling update, the package is finally on it's way. From Africa, granted, and yes it seems suspicious, but we'll meet what happens tomorrow. I do not take a ticket number with OnePlus every bit I don't believe starting a conversation gives you something similar that, but honestly no matter what the tracker says I have lost all conviction in DHL, so I call up I'll start a case, get a ticket and give it to you.

    Lol Republic of mali. I call up Oneplus need to finish using DHL in Europe. I've seen endless comments on their Facebook page as well. Horror stories indeed.

    Keep us updated when you get your bundle and hopefully refund for shopping costs. This is definitely not fast shipping.

    well if their grammar is right, DHL considered the Copenhagen center to exist the incorrect destination and the Bamako heart to be the right one. (there is a period between the 2 phrases.
    (Some guy probably saw ane+ on the box and sent it to friends then they could share the spoils. Either DHL is faster than those guys, either your phone volition soon be in some shop in Bamako, sold for twice the price (every bit many brands exercise not sell in many African countries, their value goes upwardly).

    he is going to get a 5t Either his original 1, either DHL will finance information technology. All I'm saying is a bundle cannot go from Copenhagen to be delivered in the local area to existence sent to Bamako by mistake. It has to be a deliberate move by a handler. local packages and transit packages do non follow the same path in the facility. what'southward more than: European union internal packages and imports/exports from EU are not treated the same way (mainly due to duties and costums wanting to have a look), this is why 1+ uses a polish facility to send phones within the European union.
